Provides support to Senior Consultant in the ideation, modeling, measurement and oversight of the National Scoreable Action Items (SAIs). Additionally partner with national contracting team to model and measure savings based on contracting efforts (vendors, individual providers, etc.) by national contract.
Partner and consult with National SAI Team to provide medical cost analysis to assess opportunity and effectiveness of managing current and new SAI initiatives;
Partner and consult with National Contracting Team to provide medical cost analysis to assess opportunity and effectiveness of managing current and new contracts;
Engage with Senior Consultant to design and create analytical models in order to meet the needs of internal and external customers. This will require aggregating and analyzing large amounts of medical claims data;
Responsible for building and expanding corporate expertise and reporting on all medical cost drivers;
Turn data into information: draw conclusions from the analysis and communicate results;
Have experience creating and managing SQL data;
Develop and present actionable recommendations to management based on analyses with recommendations from Senior Consultant;
Participate in research-related activities including industry best practices and experience studies
Analytical ability and familiarity with advanced financial and healthcare concepts.
1-2 years project management experience.
Preferred candidate will have a medical economics, actuarial, underwriting or informatics background.
Advanced data and analytics background preferred.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
Intermediate excel and SQL skills,
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong verbal & written skills and ability to communicate results to stakeholders
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
